Zodiax collects zero data about you. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising. Your birth date and preferences never leave your device — ever.
Zodiax is a zodiac arena battle game made by Journey AI, developed by Yingjie Li. It is designed from the ground up with privacy as a first principle, not an afterthought.
The app works 100% offline. It makes no network requests of any kind. All horoscope content is bundled inside the app at install time. Birth chart calculations are performed entirely on your device using NASA’s DE421 planetary ephemeris data — no server is ever contacted.
Because Zodiax never connects to the internet and never transmits any information, there is nothing to collect, store, sell, or share. This privacy policy exists to document that fact clearly and completely.
Zodiax collects no personal data whatsoever. Here is what the app stores and where it lives:
All on-device data is stored using Apple’s standard iOS data containers (UserDefaults and App Groups for widget synchronization). This data is included in your device’s iCloud Backup if you have that enabled — that is a standard iOS behavior controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings.
Analytics & Tracking: Zodiax contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services that phone home, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking pixels of any kind.
Zodiax uses no third-party services. There are no embedded SDKs from advertising networks, analytics platforms, social media companies, or data brokers.
The app’s horoscope content is pre-loaded in the app bundle at the time you download the app from the App Store. It does not fetch content from any server after installation.
The only external system Zodiax interacts with is Apple’s App Store, which handles your purchase of the app. Apple’s own privacy policy governs those transactions — Zodiax itself receives no payment information from Apple.
The optional “Zodiax Pro” upgrade unlocks AI-powered features that use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). These AI features run entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server, including ours. The AI processes your query locally and the response stays on your device. We never see your questions or the AI’s answers.
Zodiax Pro includes an “Ask the Stars” feature that allows you to speak a question to the cosmic oracle. This feature uses your device’s microphone only while you are actively holding the cosmic die button.
Here is exactly how it works:
iOS will ask for your permission before Zodiax can access the microphone and speech recognition. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone and Speech Recognition. If you decline these permissions, all other features of the app continue to work normally — only the voice input capability is unavailable.
We have no access to any audio you speak into the app.
Zodiax is rated 4+ on the App Store and is appropriate for all ages. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, there is no special risk or concern for children.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) — or from anyone, for that matter. There is simply nothing to collect.
If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about your child’s use of Zodiax, please feel free to reach out. We are happy to answer any questions.
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, for any material changes, notify users through an App Store update release note.
Because Zodiax is fundamentally a zero-data app, any future changes to this policy are likely to be minor clarifications rather than substantive alterations to our data practices. We will never introduce data collection, analytics, or advertising without clear disclosure and, where legally required, your explicit consent.
Your continued use of Zodiax after any policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
We welcome questions, concerns, and feedback about privacy. If anything in this policy is unclear or if you have a question we haven’t addressed, please reach out.
